Searching video using disk analysis

TVR 20 can run a disk analysis to get a broader sense of the video data stored on the
hard drive. This video data can include Alarms, Events, Video Loss, and more.
The Disk Analysis screen provides a graphical view of the all video stored on the hard
drive for each camera. The scale is determined dynamically. The timeline flows from
left (oldest) to right (newest) video. See Figure 26 below.

1. Time cursor: Playback will start for all cameras from the time highlighted by this bar.
2. Time window: This represents the time period of the selected zoom level. The zoom level in this
example is Level 3. Events that occurred during this period are indicated. The type of event is color
coded.
3. Playback date and time: This is the date and time highlighted by the time cursor.
4. Change zoom level: Clicking the Up or Down arrows will zoom the view in and out between zoom
levels L1 to L5. Zoom is intended to allow video ranges from 1 year to 10 seconds within five levels
of zoom.
• Zoom In expands the two slices to the left and right of the cursor to the full pane.
• Zoom Out reduces the current full screen to four slices centered in the middle.
5. Change time: The time window is divided into horizontal slices (the number of which depends on
the zoom level). Clicking the Left or Right arrows will jump the cursor back and forth to the nearest
slice in that direction. Additional behaviors include:
• Clicking the Left arrow from far left scrolls left a half-screen if more video is available, centering
the cursor. However, if no more video is available the cursor remains at the left end of the video.
• Clicking the Right arrow from far right scrolls right a half-screen if more video is available,
centering the cursor. However, if no more video is available the cursor remains at the right end of
the video
To search recorded video using the disk analysis screen
1. In the Main toolbar click the Search icon, or press the Search button on the front
panel. If requested, enter your user name and password. The Quick Search screen
appears.
2. Click the Advance Search button. The Advance Search screen appears.
