UTF-8 encoding (not supported in FLIR Reporter). This encoding must be used
■
for all languages outside the ISO 8859-1 (Latin-1) encoding.
To create a *.tcf file, write your text in Notepad, save the file with ANSI or UTF-8 en-
coding, and change the file extension to *.tcf.
To use the *.tcf file in the camera, save it in the Images folder on the memory card.
You can then choose from the predefined strings when creating a text annotation for
an image in the camera.
The maximum number of characters in an *.tcf file is 512 characters per label and
value, respectively.
This is an example markup structure of a *.tcf file. The words between pointed
brackets are labels, and the words without pointed brackets are values.

This procedure assumes that the camera is set up to automatically ask for a text an-
notation. For information on how to do this, see section 22.2.2 – Changing settings
for image saving on page 134.
Follow this procedure to create a text annotation:
1
To preview an image, push the Preview/Save button.
2
To save the image, push and hold the Preview/Save button for more than
one second. At this stage, you will be asked for a text annotation.
3
For each label, push the joystick and do one of the following:
Select a value in the drop-down list. Push the joystick to confirm.
■
Select Capture value in the drop-down list and push the joystick to
■
confirm. This makes the camera capture one of the currently active
measurement values in the result table. Push the joystick to confirm.
Select Numerical value in the drop-down list and push the joystick to
■
confirm. This gives you the opportunity to enter a numerical value to use
as a value. Push the joystick to confirm.
