Network Control
To switch to control by computer

Start your Web browser
Internet Explorer Ver. 5.0 or later is a compatible browser.

Input URL
"URL for this unit" in the address bar of the browser and
press [Enter] key.
Enter the IP address specified in the network setting for
this unit.
Please enter the default value 192.168.0.1.
(Example: "http://192.168.0.1/")
* If you do not have a browser installed on your
computer's hard disk, please install one.

Enter a password (security check)
Enter your [User Name] and security check [Password]
and click [OK].
When the security check is cleared by the password,
control will switch to computer operation and after passing
the language setting screen the operating screen will be
displayed.
Please set separate passwords beforehand for
different user levels to suit the installation
environment (see p27).
User level has the following three stages.

Password (Default value)
1. Connection is not possible while the menu
screen is displayed on the DVR main unit.
Please delete the menu screen.
2. Sometimes the connection may not be
through the proxy server. In that case, the
proxy setting should be cancelled.
To switch to control by the main unit
When you click the S
and control will switch to the main unit.
1. To forcibly cancel the connection from the main unit, press [EXIT/OSD] button for two seconds or more.
2. If communication with the computer is suspended for five minutes or more, the connection will be automatically
cancelled and control will switch to the main unit.

(1) If the password is entered incorrectly, or not
entered, a security lock will be applied and the
switch to computer control will not be made.
(2) Saving [User Name] and [Password] after they
have been entered will ensure that the security
check is passed automatically next time.
It may not be possible to save a password other
than that which was entered initially.
(3) If you click [Cancel] button at the Password entry
screen the following message will appear.
(4) If you click an unauthorized button on the
operating panel, the Password entry screen will
reappear.

Select language for displays
When the security check is cleared by the password, the
language selection screen will appear. Select a language
and click [OK]. Operating screen will be displayed in the
selected language and computer control will be enabled.

(1) Please select the display language each time you
switch to computer control.
(2) To change the display language, cancel the
connection temporarily and reconnect.
