4. RECORDING AREA SET

The hard disk in this unit consists of three independent recording areas, each of which has
five recording modes.
Firstly, a percentage of the total capacity is allocated to each recording area (settings are in
units of 1%).

Total capacity display
Displays the total capacity of the hard disk.

Capacity display for each recording area
The recording capacity of each recording area established
in this unit is displayed as a percentage of total capacity.
Recording area capacity cannot be set or
changed from the computer side.

Recording area reset
If OVERWRITE setting is OFF, recording will stop
automatically when each recording area becomes full but
when [AREA FULL RESET] is clicked, whatever has been
recorded so far is deleted and recording will begin from the
start of the recording area.

Recording is done manually with the O button.
Recording is done automatically within a time range
specified by setting timer recording on the menu
screen.
By specifying alarm recording with the menu screen,
recording is done automatically when an alarm has
been detected.
By specifying pre-alarm recording with the menu
screen, the image nearest the alarm entry is
recorded automatically.
This is used as a function complementary to alarm
recording.
Copies and saves essential recordings from another
recording area by operating the M button
manually.
