Network settings
For Windows NT 4.0

Select menus in the following order:
[Settings] → → → → [Control Panel] → → → → [Network]

Check that [TCP/IP Protocol] is displayed in
the list of [Current Network Protocol].
* If [TCP/IP Protocol] is not displayed, click [Add] button
and install it. For details, please refer to the Windows NT
4.0 manual and Help.
* If [TCP/IP Protocol] is still not displayed after installation,
select [Settings] → [Control Panel] → [System] and
check whether [Network adapters] under [Device
Manager] is enabled. If it is still not displayed after
Network adapters has been enabled, please refer to the
Ethernet board manual.

Select [TCP/IP Protocol] from the list of
[Network Protocol] and click the
[Properties] button.
* Be careful not to select [TCP/IP → Dialup adapter].

Click the [IP Address] tab.

Select the Ethernet board to be used in [Adapter].

Select [Specify an IP address] and enter the IP
address and sub-net mask.

Click [OK] and click [OK] on the next
dialog.

Click [Yes] on the [Change system settings]
dialog.
If the private address 192.168.0.2 is to be
used, change the setting to the following.
DNS Setting: Delete the text entered in [Domain].
Delete the text entered in [DNS Service
lookup sequence].

For Windows 2000

Under [Control Panel], open [Network and
dialup connection] with a double click.

Select [Local area connection] with a right
click and select [Properties] from the menu.

Check that [Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)] is
displayed in the Ethernet board
components list that is to be used in
[Method of connection].
* If [Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)] is not displayed, click
[Install] button and install it. For details, please refer to
the Windows 2000 manual and Help.
* If [Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)] is still not displayed after
installation, select [Settings] → [Control Panel] →
[System] → [Hardware] and check whether [Network
adapters] under [Device Manager] is enabled. If it is still
not displayed after Network adapters has been enabled,
please refer to the Ethernet board manual.

Select [Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)] and click
the [Properties] button.
• Select [Use the following IP address] and enter the IP
address and sub-net mask.

Click [OK] and click [OK] on the next
dialog.

Restart the computer if [Network and dialup
connection] settings have been amended.
If the private address 192.168.0.2 is to be
used, change the setting to the following.
DNS Setting: Delete the text entered in [Domain].
Delete the text entered in [DNS Service
lookup sequence].
