6.3 Driver installation

6.3.1 Before you begin

To facilitate the installation of the audio drivers, you should read
the instructions in this chapter carefully before you attempt
installation. The audio drivers for the PCM-4825/4825L board are
located on the audio driver diskettes. You must install the drivers
by using the supplied SETUP program.
Note:

6.3.2 Windows 3.1 drivers

These drivers are designed to work with Microsoft Windows 3.1.
You may install these drivers through Windows.
1. Run Windows to make sure that it is working correctly.
2. Place the audio driver diskette in drive A. In the Windows
Program Manager, choose File from the Options Menu. Then
from the pull-down menu, choose Run . . . . At the command line
prompt, type A:\WIN31\SETUP. Press the <ENTER> key or click
OK to begin the installation.
3. Click Continue when the "AudioDrive Setup" screen shows up.
Click the Driver Installation button to choose installing the
audio driver.
4. At this point, the setup program displays the "Set Hardware
Setting" screen, which allows you to change the hardware
setting of the audio controller in Windows. For proper operation,
make sure the address, IRQ, and DMA settings are not used by
other hardware. Press the <ENTER> key or click OK to complete
the installation.
Once completed, you can change the settings or remove the audio
driver by using the Windows's Control Panel program.

The files on the software installation diskette are
compressed. Do not attempt to install the drivers
by copying the files manually. You must use the
supplied SETUP program to install the drivers.
