Symptom
The altitude is 1500 m or
higher and printouts are
too light.
Gray background.
Dirt on the top edge or
back of the paper.
The previous image
remains and lightly
printed on the
prepunched paper.
Gray background with
horizontal streaks near
the top edge.
Checkpoints
Check the Altitude Setting in the
Maintenance Menu.
Check the toner container.
Check the Drum charge setting in the
Maintenance Menu.

Check the Print density setting in
KYOCERA Client Tool.
Check the Drum charge setting in the
Maintenance Menu.
Is the interior of the machine dirty?
Check the Drum charge setting in the
Maintenance Menu.
Check the Drum charge setting in the
Maintenance Menu.
Corrective Actions
Set the Altitude Setting in the
Maintenance Menu to 1. If there is still
no improvement, change the value to
2.
If necessary, replace the toner
container.
Increase the adjustment value for the
Drum charge setting in the
Maintenance Menu.
Run Drum refresh in the Maintenance
Menu.
Decrease the adjustment value for
Print density in KYOCERA Client
Tool.
Increase the adjustment value for the
Drum charge setting in the
Maintenance Menu.
If the problem is not solved even after
printing several pages, clean the
rollers, conveying unit and paper feed
unit.
If the problem is not solved after
cleaning, call for service.
Increase the adjustment value for the
Drum charge setting in the
Maintenance Menu.
Increase the adjustment value 1 level
at a time from the current value.
If there is no improvement after the
value is increased by 1 level, increase
by 1 level again.
If there is still no improvement, return
the setting to the original value.
Increase the adjustment value for the
Drum charge setting in the
Maintenance Menu.
