DESCRIPTION
On all vehicles the starter is flange mounted on the
right hand side of the engine and being a pre-engagement
type, is operated by an ignition key controlled solenoid
switch mounted on the starter body. The unit incorporates

an over-run clutch to prevent the starter being ~uri too fast
when the engine starts.
The design of the starter ensures gradual engagement of
the pinion by means of a circuit arrangement whereby only
a part of the main circuit is used for initial movement of
