Optical unit
1.
Note :
1). The projection lens is optional, refer to the
"appendix" on pages 106-112 for the available
lens and its replacement and installation proce-
dures.
2). Since this lens mounting system is lever
quick release type, the lens can be replaced
easily. However, since the weight of the projection
lens is very heavy (2-6kg), be careful not to drop
out it in the case of projection lens replacement.

characteristic polarization glasses. Careful
marking of the Polarizer units before their
removal from the optical unit, will ensure
proper reassembly.

Projection lens and Holder
lens unit removal.
1. Support the projection lens with the
hand so that the projection lens does
not drop out.
2. Pull the lever A ahead and slide the
levers A and B to upper position. (The
projection lens is released.)
3. Remove 4 screws E and remove the
Holder lens unit.
Integrator
lens
in
Integrator lens out & PBS
Each polarizer unit uses different
1. Remove 2 screws A and remove the
Integrator lens in unit.
2. Remove 3 screws B and remove the
Integrator lens out & PBS unit.
3. Remove 2 screws C and remove the R-
Filter unit.
4. Remove 2 screws D and remove the
Relay lens unit.
5. See note before the Polarizer units
removal.
6. Remove 6 screws E and remove the 3
Polarizer units.
7. If each optical glass is replaced from
each unit, readjusting is needed after
reassembly. See page 72 and pages
48-52.
