for dents
or
cracks
If
damaged
replace
propeller
shaft
assembly
If
center bearing is
noisy or
damaged
replace
center
bearing
If
journal
is
damaged
or worn
re
place propeller
shaft
assembly

VIBRATION
To check and
correct
an
unbalanced
propeller
shaft
proceed
as
follows
I Remove
undercoating and other
foreign
material which could
upset
shaft balance and check shaft vibra
tion
by
road tesi

If shaft vibration
is
noted during
road
test
disconnect
propeUer
shaft
at
differential
carrier
companion flange
rotate
companion
flange
180 degrlies
and
reconnect propeller
shaft
