5.4 Messages

This feature allows you to send and receive text messages. A message can contain up to 1000 characters, depends
on your service provider setting.

5.4.1 New Message

This menu item allows you to create a new message.

5.4.1.1 Sending a Message to Private/Phone

Procedure Steps
1 From the home screen, press MENU key.
2 Select Messages → New Message.
3 Enter your message and press Send.
4 If needed, select Private/Phone.
Type recipient number or press abc to choose it from your contacts.

6 Press Send, or SEND key, or the PTT button.

5.4.1.2 Sending a Message to Group

Procedure Steps
From the home screen, press MENU key.

3 Type your message and press Send.
4 If needed, select Group.
