To call the associate number quickly, dial the code for the "Associate c c all" function. Receiving a a s s econd c c all d d uring a a c c onversation If you are on the phone and a second person is trying to ring you, you will hear a beep.
  • Page 14 Transferring a a c c all If you are in the middle of a conversation, and you want to transfer your caller to another terminal: Dial the number of the other terminal direct. Your caller will automatically be placed on hold. Hang up the receiver.

  • Page 17 You will then have the option for them to automatically call you back when their line is free. Dial the code for the "Call b b ack r r equest" function. Replace the receiver. To cancel the request, dial the number a second time, and then hang up. Camping o o n a a n i i nternal c c orrespondent w w ho i i s b b usy If you call an internal terminal, and all the lines are busy, you will hear an engaged tone.
  • Page 18 Dial the code for the "Meet m m e c c onference" function (*), followed by the confidential access code. If you are the first to join the conference you will hear a waiting tone. If not, you will join the conference. Simply hang up to leave the conference.
  • Page 19 Mastered c c onference Depending on the configuration of your system, this function enables up to 29 participants to be interconnected, either: • by holding an automatic inclusion conference, • by broadcasting a spoken or pre-recorded message over the correspondents' loudspeakers (announcement).
  • Page 20 Intrusion i i nto a a n i i nternal c c onversation If you ring an internal number and find it busy, you may be able to intrude in the conversation. This only applies if you have authority to do so, and if that set is not "protected".
  • Page 21 Sending D D TMF s s ignals In the course of a call, you sometimes have to send multi-frequency signals (known as DTMF signals) down the line; for example if dealing with a bank service, an automatic attendant or a remote-controlled answering machine. Dial the code for the "DTMF e e nd t t o e e nd d d ialling"...
  • Page 22 Enter the sub-address on your keypad; it will begin with * and have up to four digits. If the sub-address does not consist of four digits, press # to confirm. Calling a a n i i nternal c c orrespondent o o n h h is p p ager* If your correspondent is not answering his phone, but you know he has a pager, dial the code for the "Paging r r equest"...
  • Page 24 Programming y y our p p ersonal c c ode The default code for your terminal is 0000. To choose or alter your personnal code, dial the code for the appropriate function. Dial your personal code and then the new code. Programming y y our p p ersonal d d irectory Your directory consists of the twelve keys on the numeric keypad.
  • Page 25 Enter the number of the terminal that is to be called. If this is your own terminal, enter nothing. At the prearranged time your phone will ring. Lift the receiver and replace it to acknowledge the call. Note: to cancel the appointment call, follow the same procedure as when you set it up, using the code for the "Cancel w w ake-u u p/appointment r r eminder"...
  • Page 26 Adjusting y y our r r eceiver v v olume d d uring a a c c all to adjust your receiver volume. Adjusting t t he r r inger With the terminal at rest, you can choose the melody your terminal plays (from among 16 options) and the volume level.
  • Page 27 Changing t t he a a ssociate n n umber The associate number can be an extension number, a voice message service number or a pager number. To change this number: Dial the code for the "Change a a ssociate n n umber" function then, following the instructions, dial your own personal code followed by the associate number.
  • Page 28 Reporting m m alicious c c alls If you answer a call and find it is malicious, you can report it. Dial the code for the "Malicious c c all" function. If the call came from an internal terminal, the fact will be reported to the system administrator.

Then dial the number of the phone that is to receive the forwarded calls.

Then dial the number of your company's voice mail service. * If your company has a voice mail service, you will be allocated a directory number.   • Page 34 Consulting r r ecorded m m essages The green LED flashes to indicate that you have messages waiting. Lift the receiver and follow the voice guide instructions. After a short time interval, you are automatically connected to the recorded message. For more information on the message service, consult the specific documentation.
  • Page 35 Dial the code for the "Padlock" function. To unlock your terminal, repeat the same procedure as for padlocking it. Then, following the prompts, dial your personal code. Forwarding y y our c c alls t t o y y our p p ager* This allows callers to reach you anywhere in the building.
  • Page 36 GLOSSARY BROKER C C ALL A function which allows you to hold two conversations at once, switching from one to the other. CALL T T RANSFER A facility which allows you to pass a call to another user within your company. CONFERENCE This facility allows you to switch from talking to two callers alternately, to talking with both at once.
  • Page 37 HUNT G G ROUP A set of terminals which all have the same number in the phone book. A caller to this number will get whichever of the terminals in the group is free. INTRUSION A facility which allows you to interrupt a call between two other people (at least one of whom is internal).
  • Page 38 PERSONAL D D IRECTORY A directory containing the phone numbers particular to the user of one terminal. PICKUP G G ROUP A facility which allows you to pick up a call coming onto a different terminal belonging to the same group. PROGRAMMED C C ONFERENCE At a prearranged time, you can take part in a telephone conference involving up to 29 internal and external callers.
