13.3 Network Port Usage

The following table lists the default TCP/UDP network port numbers used by the Mediant 2000.
Where relevant, the table lists the ini file parameters that control the port usage and provide
source IP address filtering capabilities.

H.245 Signaling Port
All dynamic H.323 ports use the parameter H323BasePort. This parameter is
the starting TCP / UDP transport port for H.225/H.245 messages (used for
RAS, H.225 and H.245 protocols). Mediant 2000 gateways use 500 dynamic
ports (except for RTP ports) starting from this port. If H323BasePort = 0, or if
a value isn't specified, the default ports are used. The default port range is
32000 to 65000. For example: If H323BasePort = 10000, the H.323 gateway
uses dynamic ports in the range 10000 to 10500.
