VITS Menu

This menu allows the user to insert VITS on lines 17 or 18. Press the  buttons
until the Vertical Interval Test Signal (VITS) menu appears (shown below).
Waveform Field
Note: Upon exiting this submenu, the Waveform field reverts to the default value
(Transmitted).
The Waveform field allows the user to insert a VITS from several internally stored
patterns, from a pattern transmitted over the satellite link, or to turn off VITS
insertion.
Press the 4 button until the cursor is at the Waveform label, and press the ENTER
button to move into the field. Press the  buttons to display the options. Choose
from the options listed in Table 3-2.
Table 3-2: NTSC/PAL M VITS Field Options
The Transmitted option indicates the signal is provided over the satellite link by the
programmer, if one is present. Press the ENTER button to confirm the selection.
Note: If the Waveform option is neither Transmitted or Disabled, the Field and
Line fields are displayed on the VITS menu (shown below).
