3.1 Basic VoIP settings

3.1.1 Choice of mode and login

Firstly it is important to choose IP Bell
network mode, either P2P (peer to peer) or the
doorphone will login to a SIP server. This is done
with DIP switch 2 – figure 7. Change of mode
can´t be done via WEB based interface. Changed
position of the switch will always appear after
restart of the system. Other switches are set in
„on" position (normal). Turn on the IP Bell
doorphone and wait approx. 1 minute for the
system start up.
Deleting all set values in the doorphone and setting into the default
factory settings is done with DIP switch 3 by switching it to „off" position and
restarting the doorphone. After the system start up it is necessary to move back
this switch to „on" position.
Setting the default IP address 192.168.1.250 is done by switching the
DIP switch 4 to „off" position and restarting the doorphphone. After the system
start up it is necessary to move back this switch to „on" position.
Restarting the doorphone can be done in two ways – either by
disconnecting and connecting the power supply or by clicking on „Restart"
button in the service manu in the WEB based interface.
IP address of the doorphone is set by the producer (by default) to
192.168.1.250. In case you are using a different numbering of the network
during installation (= IT DOES NOT BEGIN WITH 192.168.1.xxx), then in the
protocol TCP/IP features on your PC it is necessary to set the IP address
temporarily or as an alternative configuration to e.g. 192.168.1.245. Then it is
possible to set parameters of the doorphone including the IP address. After
restarting the VoIP module you can already connect the WEB page of the
doorphone on the new IP address.
ATTENTION: The DIP switches 3 and 4 must always be in "on" position.
Otherwise the new IP address will be rewritten back to the default IP address =
192.168.1.250 after restarting.
