Connecting the server to the mains

In its basic configuration level the server has a hot-plug power supply unit. A
second hot plug power supply unit can be added to achieve redundant power
supply. If a defect occurs in one power supply unit, the other power supply unit
ensures continued operation of the server.
V
CAUTION!
The installed power supply units automatically set themselves to a mains
voltage in the range of 100 V - 127 V or 200 V - 240 V. Make sure that
your local mains voltage is within the correct range.

Ê Connect the power cable with the insulated connector (1) to the power
supply unit of the server, and plug the power plug (2) into a grounded outlet
on the mains socket strip on the rack (see the technical manual for the rack).
I
A phase redundancy in the power supply of the server can be set up if
two hot plug power supply units are installed.
In this case, the two power supply units are connected to two different
phases.
