Binding Margin
This selects whether or not the Binding Margin is set on the paper to be printed.
NOTE: It is set with "None" when shipped from the factory.
None
Select this when no gutter is to be set.
Left
Select this when the gutter is set on the left side.
Right
Select this when the gutter is set on the right side.
Top
Select this when the gutter is set on the top of the paper.
Width
This sets the gutter width in millimeters or inches.
For setting in millimeters, select "mm" and select a value from 10.0 to 50.8 mm in units of 0.1 mm.
For setting in inches, select "inch" and select a value from 0.39 to 2.00 inches in units of 0.01 inch.
NOTE: It is set at 0.39 inches (10.0 mm) as a factory default.
Duplex (available only when the Duplex Unit is installed)
Enables duplex printing (printing on both sides of paper) and the type of binding for the duplex-printed pages.
For duplex printing, check the box. Click on the Duplex icon, and select the desired type of binding.
NOTE: This is not available when "Magazine Sort" is selected at "Sort Mode".
Book
Select this to bind along the vertical side of paper.
Book: Binds paper to be opened vertically.
Tablet
Select this to bind along the horizontal side of the paper.
Tablet: Binds paper to be opened horizontally.
SUPPLEMENT:
The icons of Book and Tablet on the Duplex Printing screen vary according to the
Orientation and the Layout Printing.
