Maintenance

In addition to proper inflation,
correct wheel alignment helps to
decrease tyre wear. If you find a tyre
is worn unevenly, have your dealer
check the wheel alignment.
The tyres were properly balanced by
the factory. They may need to be
rebalanced at some time before they
are worn out. Have your dealer
check the tyres if you feel a consis-
tent vibration while driving. A tyre
should always be rebalanced if it is
removed from the wheel for repair.
Make sure the installer balances the
wheels when you have new tyres
installed. This increases riding
comfort and tyre life. Your vehicle's
original tyres were dynamic or ''spin''
balanced at the factory. For best
results, have the installer perform a
dynamic balance.
(Only on vehicles equipped with
aluminium wheels)
Improper wheel weights can damage
your vehicle's aluminium wheels.
Use only genuine Honda wheel
weights for balancing.

To help increase tyre life and
distribute wear more evenly, you
should have the tyres rotated every
10,000 km (6,250 miles). Move the
tyres to the positions shown in the
charts each time they are rotated.
The above illustration shows how
the tyres should be rotated on the
vehicles equipped with a compact
spare tyre or when the normal spare
tyre is not included in the tyre
rotation.
