UPS with BDM Startup

To start up the UPS:

The REPO function activates when L1 and L2 are shorted together.
1. Verify the BDM input breaker is in the OFF (O) position (see
Figure 5 on page 29).
2. Confirm the correct UPS output voltage is selected (see Step 9
on page 29).
3. Turn on the equipment that is connected to the UPS.
4. Verify that the Bypass switch on the BDM rear panel is in the
NORMAL position (see Figure 5 on page 29).
5. If your BDM is hardwired, supply utility power to the UPS; skip
to Step 8.
6. If your BDM is a plug/receptacle unit, plug the input power
supply cord into the utility input receptacle on the BDM rear
panel.
7. Plug the other end of the power supply cord into a grounded,
three-wire, AC receptacle that has been wired in accordance
with NEC specifications or national wiring rules (see Figure 12
for an example). See "Specifications" on page 61 for the input
current/output voltage requirements.
