By removing the key out of the ignition
lock the settings are automatically
saved for the used key:
Electronic climate control

Lighting

Infotainment system
Power door locks

The saved settings are automatically
used when the key is inserted into the
ignition lock.

The electronic key simply needs to be
on the driver's person.

Do not put the electronic key in the
load compartment or in front of the
Info-Display.

Keys, doors and windows
Warning
Do not press the Start/Stop button
while driving. A driver could lose
control of vehicle and brake power
assistance would be cancelled, caus-
ing an accident. Also never leave
infants, children and juveniles unat-
tended in the vehicle. It may cause an
unexpected accident.
Caution
Pressing the Start/Stop button can
start the engine when the electronic
key is in the vehicle. Never leave
children or any person who is
unfamiliar with the vehicle alone.
They could become involved in
unexpected accidents. Switch the
ignition off when you leave the
vehicle and always carry the smart
key.
