CHANGING ENGINE OIL AND OIL FILTER

• Move the sump guard down.
•
Position the vehicle on firm and flat ground.
• Position the vehicle on the stand.
WARNING
Allow several minutes for the engine and
exhaust system to cool down.
•
Stop the engine and let it cool down to allow the oil to
flow into the crankcase and to cool.
•
Unscrew and remove the plug (1).
• Place a container under engine oil drain plug, on
flywheel side.
•
Loosen and remove the oil drain plug (2) and let oil
drain off completely.
WARNING
Used oil contains substances that are very
dangerous for the environment. Dispose of
used oil in accordance with regulations.
• Take off the engine
Remove it with its gasket, keep the O-ring.
• Remove the oil filter.
•
Install a new oil filter.
•
Refit the engine oil filter cover (3).
• Screw and tighten the oil drain plug (2).
•
Fill up with about 1250 cu.cm of engine oil (76.3 cu.in.).
• Screw and tighten the plug (1).
•
Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Stop
the engine and let it cool down.
•
Check engine oil level, see (CHECKING THE ENGINE
OIL LEVEL).
