REGULAR MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES
CARE OF YOUR SPA COVER
Always cover your spa when not in use. This will greatly reduce energy consumption and
will cause spa water to heat more rapidly.Water loss and chemical usage will also be
reduced.
• Be sure to lock down all straps on cover after each use to prevent wind damage.
• Do not allow spa to sit uncovered in direct sunlight. This may cause damage to
exposed surfaces of spa and possible discoloration of spa fittings.
• Periodically hose off both sides of spa cover for maximum life of cover. Once a
month use a vinyl cleaner and conditioner on the vinyl portion of your cover.
Rinse residue off.
NOTE: IF YOUR SPA IS GOING TO BE LEFT EMPTY FOR PROLONGED PERIODS,
DO NOT REPLACE COVER DIRECTLY ON SURFACE OF SPA. PLACE 2"-3"
BLOCKS BETWEEN COVER AND SPA.THIS ALLOWS FOR ADEQUATE
VENTILATION OF COVER AND SPA.
NOTE:The cover warranty is provided through the cover manufacturer and not through
Master Spas. You will need to mail the cover warranty back to the cover manufacturer.
CARE OF YOUR SPA CABINET
Your quality spa cabinet is produced from hand-crafted cedar. It has been factory treated
with a stain/sealer to maintain its appearance and to preserve its life. Several times a
year (especially if located outdoors) it is recommended that your cabinet be re-treated.
Your local dealer or service center can recommend the appropriate product based on
your cabinet finish. Periodically, remove dust, dirt and grime with clean water.
If your spa has the DuraMaster Polymer Skirt or Master Wood option, it just needs to be
hosed off periodically. No other maintenance is required.
FILTER CLEANING
NOTE: Never operate the spa without filters in place. If done, damage will result to
pumps and other components. We recommend having an extra set of filters to install
when cleaning the filters.
1.) Turn power off to the spa.
2.) Remove any large or floating debris from the filter area.
3.) Remove the filter retainer (on Master Spa and Down East Spas) by turning
4.) Remove the filter(s). Remember, ECO PUR
