4. Latching System Tamper/No Latching System Tamper: When enabled a system tamper on the system must be reset
by entering the installer code [!][8][installer code] before the system can be armed. If there is a system tamper present
Auto-arming and key switch arming will also be suppressed. NOTE: The Auto-arm cancellation code is not
transmitted because a user has not cancelled the Auto-arming sequence.
A 2-wire smoke trouble does not latch the system.
5. 6-Digit User Access Codes: With this option enabled all of the access codes on the system will become 6-digits
except the panel ID code and the downloading access code. If codes are programmed and this option is selected the
first four digits of the programmed codes will remain as programmed and the last two digits will be [00].
4-Digit User Access Codes: When this option is selected all codes will be 4-digits in length. If 6-digits were
previously used and this option is enabled the last two digits will be erased.
6. Busy Tone detection enabled: When this option is selected, the panel will hang up after detecting a busy tone
for five seconds and will redial after the amount of time programmed in the Delay between Dialing Attempts
section. When this option is disabled, the panel will not search for a busy tone.

2.Force Dialing: When this option is enabled, the panel will dial out regardless of the presence of dial tone.
Each dialing attempt will follow this pattern:
a) the panel picks up the telephone line and searches for dial tone for 5 seconds
b) if no dial tone is found, the panel will hang up and wait for 20 seconds
c) the panel will pick up the telephone line again and search for a dial tone for 5 seconds
d) the panel will then dial regardless of the presence of dial tone
If there is no initial handshake recognized within 40 seconds the panel will then hang up the line.
If the Force Dialing option is disabled, each attempt will still follow the above pattern, except that the panel
will not dial in step d if no dial tone is detected.
3. Test Transmission Interval in Minutes: A land line test transmission will be sent to the monitoring station once
every test transmission cycle. The test transmission cycle is programmed in Section [370]. If this option is enabled,
the programmed Time of Day Timer [371] will not apply.
Test Transmission Interval in Days: A test transmission will be sent to the monitoring station at the
programmed time of day in Section [371] and at the Interval programmed in Section [370].
4. 1600Hz/Standard Handshake: With this option enabled the communicator will respond to 1600Hz
handshakes when using the reporting communication formats 1 and 2 only. The standard handshake is 1400Hz or
2300Hz.
5. ID Tone Enabled: With ID Tone Enabled the panel will pulse a tone on the telephone line to indicate that the panel
is on the line.
6. 2100Hz/1300Hz: Selectes the frequency of the ID tone that is pulsed on the line. Contact your local
telephone company to confirm which setting should be used.
7. One-time 1-Hr User enabled DLS Window: When the user enables the DLS window through [!][6][master code][5]
the panel will answer an incoming call for downloading within the 1-hr time window without having to have Downloading
Answer Enabled in Section [401]. After a successful download has been completed the window will be closed and a
call will not be answered unless Downloading Answer is Enabled.
Full 6-hr User enabled DLS Window: When the user enables the DLS window through [!][6][master code][5]
the panel will answer an incoming call for downloading within the 6-hr window. The window will remain open for the
full 6 hours.
8. Bell on FTC when Armed: When enabled, an FTC (Failure to Communicate) on either partition during the armed
period will sound an audible alarm for the length of bell time-out or until the system is disarmed.
FTC Trouble only when Armed: If a Failure to Communicate trouble is generated while the panel is armed only
the keypad buzzer will sound trouble beeps every 10 seconds until a key is pressed.

The Delay Between Dialing Attempts timer adds a delay before the next call is dialed (after step d in the Force
Dialing section, or after a busy tone is detected in the Busy Tone Detection section).
