Dial in to Conference Calls

The CX5500 system provides an onscreen dialpad where you can enter conference codes when dialing
in to conference calls.
To dial in to a conference call:
1 In the dialer, enter the conference phone number or select the conference from your Directory.
2 Tap
to place the call.
3 After the call is answered, tap the onscreen dialpad icon
The onscreen dialpad displays.
4 Enter the conference code and tap
The phone dials in to the conference call.

Manage Conference Calls

You can initiate a conference call to include two or more contacts. Your system administrator configures
the maximum number of participants allowed in a conference call. Ask your system administrator for the
maximum number of contacts allowed.
As with other calls, you can hold and resume conference calls. In addition, you can split a conference call,
which ends the conference and places all participants on hold.
If your system administrator enables the conference management feature on your phone, you can
manage each participant in a conference call— that is, you can mute, hold, and remove each participant
in the conference. For more information, see

Follow these tips to improve your experience in a conference call:
● Mute your microphone when you are not speaking, especially in noisy environments.
● Avoid tapping the microphone or rustling papers near the microphone.
● Speak in your normal voice without shouting.
