SW selection and function
Setting to determine how to confirm DIS reception when transmitting.
"0": Setting to confirm that reception occurs once when receiving NSF/
DIS and twice when there is no NSF.
"1": Setting to confirm DIS is always received twice.
Valid apart from V.34
Setting to determine whether or not the protocol monitor (recognized by
the FAX) for 1 communication is printed.
"00": No (do not print)
"01": No (do not print)
"10": Print (always)
"11": Only at times of error (print)
When a new communication occurs before the protocol monitor is
printed, delete the old protocol data (overwrite).
Setting to determine whether or not the communication speed during
communication and reception level during reception are displayed on
the LCD.
"0": Do not display on LCD
"1": Display on LCD
When access to EEPROM in the modem controller is poor (F6-01/F7-
01), since the FAX cannot be operated, this setting is put to "Prohibited"
in order to enable FAX operation.
EEPROM contains the modem controller adjustment value (part of the
soft switch) in its memory.
Setting to determine permission or prohibition of EEPROM access.
"0": EEPROM access permitted
"1": EEPROM access prohibited
Setting to determine whether or not to detect the SDT signal, which is
the second dial tone when transmitting to the F-net.
When the SDT signal is not detected, ordinary dialling is conducted
even after 16X dialling.
"0": Do not detect
"1": Detect
This sets the timer between Flag-adrs when receiving FSK signals in
communications of other than V.34.
Reception of V.34 FSK signals does not correspond to this soft switch.
"00": 6 seconds
"01": 20 seconds
"10": 30 seconds
"11": 120 seconds
Valid apart from V.34
Setting to determine how many seconds the interval is from sending
CED or ANSam to sending the DIS FSK signal.
"0": 75msec
"1": 500msec
Setting to determine how many seconds the interval is from receiving
DIS to sending the DCS signal. This is only valid for communications of
other than V.34.
"0": 500msec
"1": 800msec
Valid apart from V.34
This sets the threshold value for determining RTN sending during V.17
reception. The threshold value is converted to STD. RTP sending is
deemed to occur at 1/2 of this value.
"00": 6line
"01": 12line
"10": 60line
"11": 120line
For example, at times of FINE reception, the threshold value is 2 times.
At times of SFINE and UFINE, the threshold value is 4 times.
