9. FIRMWERE UPDATE PROCEDURE
9.2

MAIN FIRMWERE DOWNLOAD PROCEDURE

1) Select a printer model under "Printer Models".
After selecting the printer model, either "TRST-Axx" , "TRST-Axx-CN" or "TRST-Axx-KR", press
the "Select Model" button.
2) Make the Properties settings.
Download Type: Select "MAIN FIRMWARE".
COM Port:
1. Select "USB" when using a USB cable. (The Baud rate, Parity Bit, Stop Bit, Data Bit, and Data
Flow settings are not required.)
2. Select a COM port number which is assigned to the RS232C on the PC when using a RS232C
cable. The Baud rate, Parity Bit, Stop Bit, Data Bit, and Data Flow settings are the same as
those of the printer configuration settings.
3. Select "LPT1" when using a parallel cable. (The Baud rate, Parity Bit, Stop Bit, Data Bit, and
Data Flow settings are not required.)
3) Click on the "Browse" button and select a main firmware file, "GENTSingle/Dual xxxxRxx.mfw" or
"GENTSinglexxxxRxx.mfw " downloaded from the INFONET Web.
4) Click on the "Flash Now" button, and download starts. Do not turn off the printer power until the
download finishes.
