Optional HKSR-102
SR Motion allows you to apply Slow & Quick Motion
effects to images in the HDCAM-SR format (1920 × 1080)
while maintaining high image quality. SR Motion uses the
memory on the optional HKSR-102 Picture Cache Board.

With the Select FPS, Slow Shutter, and Interval Frame
functions, you can shoot with a selected number of frames
shot (frames recorded per second) to obtain a slow or quick
motion effect when the video is played back. It is also
possible to check (review) the motion effects on site.
Operation flow of SR Motion recording/playback
The following examples illustrate how to use SR Motion.
Example of slow motion
The following example illustrates shooting and recording
at 59.94P, and playback at 23.98PsF.
When video shot and recorded at 60 frames/second (FPS)
is played back at 24 FPS on this unit, it is played back in
slow motion at 24/60 = 0.4 times normal playback speed.
If you set the format for recording according to the system
frequency at playback (target frame frequency), the
timecode can continuously advance during playback. The

When installing the HKSR-102 in this unit, refer to the
Installation Manual of the HKSR-102.
SR Motion has three functions as shown below.
Supported cameras and required settings
Cameras compatible with Select FPS function.
Set the number of frames shot per second (FPS)
on the camera and set the system frequency
(target frame frequency) for playback and the
number of recorded frames on the SRW-1.
HDC-F950 multi-format camera.
Set the number of stored frames on the HDC-
F950.
Use the LFE (Long Frame Exposure, frame
storage mode) function of the HDC-F950.
Cameras incompatible with the Select FPS
function (including HDC-1500/F950/ 950 and
HDW-F900/F900R).
Set the frame interval (FRM) on the SRW-1.
Notes
• Audio signals are not recorded correctly during SR
Motion recording.
• It is not possible to synchronize two or more VTRs with
each other during SR Motion recording even if you set
the REGEN SOURCE menu item to "EXT L (External
LTC)".
