FC4 Ex (HS) – Putting into operation
Inserting the MEM card into the FC4 Ex
Inserting the MEM card is the same procedure as for the FC4 handset.
See 'Putting the FC4 into operation'.
Inserting the battery into the FC4 Ex
Attention: Observe the safety information for replacing the battery of
explosion-proof handsets!
• Slide the battery into the housing (1).
• Push battery down on the screw side until it makes contact with the
housing (2).
• Fasten the battery with the locking screw (Torx T10) (2). The maximum
tightening torque of the screw is 60 Ncm. We recommend using the
screwdriver with part no. 50 1010 5300. This screwdriver is also
available in a set of 5 with the part no. 50 1010 5400.
Setting up the Desktop Charger DC4 Professional with the part no.
50 1080 9200 and the associated plug-in power supply unit (only
outside of potentially explosive atmospheres)
Place the charger on a solid, level surface, e.g. on a table. Choose a
location outside of potentially explosive atmospheres that is protected
against direct sunlight and moisture.
• Plug the small connector of the associated plug-in power supply's
connecting cord into the socket at the rear of the charger.
• Connect the plug-in power supply unit with a socket outlet.
The FC4 handset and the FC4 Ex handset have different housing
dimensions and therefore use different chargers.
The charger is now ready for operation.
