    Preface About This Guide Introduction This guide describes how to use your Aastra IP phone when it is installed in an AastraLink Pro 160 IP phone network. Specifically, it describes how to: • Start up your IP phone. • Use the Phone UI to operate your phone.

The information in this guide is at a technical level suitable for a system or network administrator.

When you press a softkey, an action takes place. For example, when you press the DND softkey, you enable Do Not Disturb on your phone.

    Enabling Do Not Disturb Do Not Disturb (DND) is disabled by default. If you enable DND on your Aastra IP phone, then when a call comes in on any line, the caller is directed to your voicemail. The second line on the screen of the IP phone shows when DND is set.

If you enable call forwarding on your Aastra IP phone, then incoming calls are handled according to the rules that you specify, and forwarded to another number.
