Example Operating Conditions
The requirements of 'Threshold Level' may be achieved before the
requirements of 'Low Disk Warning Level' are satisfied, depending on
Note
circumstances. For example, large numbers of cameras with limited disk
capacity may bring a larger value for '(Numbers of camera + 2) * 32MB',
compared with the value of '[Disk capacity] * [Low disk space
notification threshold] /100'.

Storage Server Performance

Storage Server performance depends on many factors such as the number of Camera
Servers, quality and resolution settings of the Camera Servers and the recording frame
rate. It will also depend on the specifications of the computer performing the recording
including the CPU speed and the disk write speed.
The following table shows some typical configurations of continuous recording which have
been achieved on a single Storage Server running on a Pentium™ 4 2.2GHz workstation
with 1GB of RAM running Windows XP, recording to an IDE disk and receiving images from
a range of VB-C10 cameras.
