Do Not Disturb

As of Revision 880515 of the Model 4140 chip, the intercom has a Do Not Disturb feature:
1. To activate, press 9, ICOM.
2. If anyone tries to contact that station by intercom, they will get a busy tone.
3. To restore normal operation, press ICOM.

Telephone

16.14
The telephone feature has the capability to store two (2) phone numbers up to 12 digits in length. It also has
an automatic redial feature.
Note: The telephone feature cannot be used if a door access system is installed. Pressing TEL in this case may
send an erroneous door opened message to the printer or to the central station. It will NOT cause a door to
open.

Basic Operation

16.14.1
To answer the phone, simply press TEL. To place a call, press TEL, followed by the phone number
you wish to call. When you have finished with your call, press TEL to hang up.
To turn off the microphone so that the person on the other end of the line cannot hear you, press
MUTE. To turn the microphone back on, press MUTE again. The phone will beep while in the mute
mode.
Note: If the Telephone Time-out option was selected during programming, the telephone will
automatically hang up after the time that was chosen for the intercom has elapsed. The phone will
beep 10 seconds before it hangs up.
To redial the last phone number called, press 9, TEL.

Entering Phone Numbers Into Memory

To store a number in memory, follow the directions below.
1. Press TEL.
2. Dial the number that you wish to store (up to 12 digits).
3. Press MEM, followed by the digit 1 or 2 to store the number in Memory Locations 1 or 2.
4. Press TEL if you do not wish to complete the call.

Dialing Phone Numbers in Memory

1. To dial the phone number in Memory Location 1, press 1, TEL.
2. To dial the phone number in Memory Location 2, press 2, TEL.
