NORMAL OPERATION
Service Pop-Up Messages
Service Pop-Up messages remind you when it's time for routine
equipment maintenance or if the system has malfunctioned.
There can be up to three messages, depending on the level of
service required:
- Routine Maintenance Recommended
- System Malfunction
- Critical Malfunction
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE RECOMMENDED: This pop-up appears
when seasonal maintenance should be performed to maintain
optimum performance of your system. Press the RIGHT button to
DISMISS NOTICE and reset the maintenance reminder. The
reminder will not reappear until the routine maintenance timer has
expired (default 12 months). The reminder will not appear if it has
been turned off by the installer.
SYSTEM MALFUNCTION: This pop-up appears when the system
has detected an equipment failure. Press the RIGHT button to
DISMISS NOTICE. The system may continue to operate, however
total system shutdown could occur at any time. It is highly rec-
ommended that you contact your dealer immediately. The pop-up
will reappear in 24 hours if the equipment failure has not been
corrected.
CRITICAL MALFUNCTION: This pop-up appears when the system
has shut down due to equipment failure(s). The pop-up message
cannot be dismissed and operation will not resume until the failures
have been fixed. Your dealer should be contacted immediately.

Questions and answers
heat button won't turn on
The heat button on the Carrier Infinity Control may not turn on due to several reasons:
1. System Mode – Ensure the thermostat is set to "HEAT" or "AUTO" mode. If it's in "COOL" mode, the heat button will not activate.
2. Temperature Setting – The set temperature must be higher than the current room temperature for heating to turn on.
3. Emergency Heat Mode – If the system is in emergency heat mode, the red HEAT button may behave differently.
4. LED Indicator – If the red LED adjacent to the HEAT button is not lit, the heating function may not be active.
5. System Malfunction – If the system is not responding, there may be an issue with the thermostat or HVAC system, requiring professional inspection.
