The heat button on the Carrier Infinity Control may not turn on due to several reasons:

1. System Mode – Ensure the thermostat is set to "HEAT" or "AUTO" mode. If it's in "COOL" mode, the heat button will not activate.
2. Temperature Setting – The set temperature must be higher than the current room temperature for heating to turn on.
3. Emergency Heat Mode – If the system is in emergency heat mode, the red HEAT button may behave differently.
4. LED Indicator – If the red LED adjacent to the HEAT button is not lit, the heating function may not be active.
5. System Malfunction – If the system is not responding, there may be an issue with the thermostat or HVAC system, requiring professional inspection.
