Quality
Selects a resolution. Fast (300 x 300 dpi), Standard (600 x 600 dpi) or Fine (1200 x 600
dpi) can be selected. A higher resolution provides better print quality. However, the
throughput speed is diminished. When using a transparency, it is not selectable.

Defines the darkness of the dots placed on the paper.

True Type
• Send TrueType Fonts as Outlines
The whole character set for each TrueType font contained on the page is sent to the
printer. It is recommended to use this option if you have a small number of TrueType fonts
on your page and the character size selections are very large. The printing speed will be
up.
• Send TrueType Fonts as Bitmaps
TrueType character will be sent as an individual bitmap font to the printer. Use this option
if you have a large number of TrueType fonts on your printed page.

Use Device Fonts
Enables to use printer's resident fonts. Their fonts will be displayed in the font menu of an
application software by checking on the check box. (Some applications may not display
the printer's resident fonts.)
If the printer's resident fonts are used in a document, the printer uses the fonts and
provides faster printing.
