The amplifier gain stage 1 is 18 dB.
In AGC OADM mode, GA 1 value should the same as AGC 1 set value, and
GA 2 value should the same as AGC 2 set value.
EDFA optical amplifier – user manual
The loss of input power will send an
alarm on the RS232 port when
sending alarm status command and on
the electric connector (TTL signal).
The value of the input power alarm
threshold is settable and may be
disabled.
The loss of output power will send an
alarm on the RS232 port (when
sending alarm status command), and
on the electric connector (TTL signal).
This feature may announce a possible
EDFA problem. The value of the loss
of output power alarm threshold is
settable and may be disabled.
TINT indicates that the EDFAs internal
case temperature is out of limits.
This feature sends an alarm if one or
several laser diode exceed the set
value by 2° C.
This feature sends an alarm if one or
several laser diode currents exceed 95
% of end of life current.
ADI indicates that the disable electrical
input pin is active. In DI state, the laser
diode power supply is turned off by a
transistor. The TEC power supply stay
turned on.
When active, the output power for
each stage is set to mute power (ALS
values)
