Installing the Rudder and Tail Wheel Assembly
Step 9. Once the epoxy has cured, deflect the rudder fully in
one direction and saturate each hinge with thin CA. Deflect the
rudder in the opposite direction and saturate each hinge again
with thin CA. Allow the CA to dry. Use CA remover/debonder to
wipe off any excess CA on the rudder hinge line.
Step 10. Once the CA has completely dried, check the rudder
for security by trying to pull the rudder from the fuselage. Use
only enough pressure to test for security and be careful not to
damage the wood structure of the rudder or fin.
