Installing the Tail Group
(Horizontal and Vertical Fin)
Step 14. Use the remaining epoxy coat the bottom of the
vertical fin and the slot in the fuselage for the fin. Try to keep the
epoxy away from the joiner wire. Insert the fin into the fuselage
and make sure it is fully seated in the slot. Wipe away any
excess epoxy with rubbing alcohol and paper towels.
Step 15. Double-check the alignment of the horizontal stabilizer
and vertical fin and use masking tape to secure it in place. Use
rubbing alcohol and paper towels to clean the epoxy off of the
elevator joiner wire. Allow the epoxy to fully cure.
