For FAX/TEL mode only

When the machine is in F/T mode, it will use the F/T Ring Time
(pseudo/double-ringing) to alert you to pick up a voice call. Lift the
Tel/R
external telephone's handset, and then press
to answer.
If you're at an extension phone, you'll need to lift the handset during
# 5 1
the F/T Ring Time and then press
between the double rings. If
no one is on the line, or if someone wants to send you a fax, send the
5 1
call back to the machine by pressing
.

Using a cordless external handset

If your cordless telephone is connected to the EXT. jack of the fax
machine or on the line jack unit and you typically carry the cordless
handset elsewhere, it is easier to answer calls during the Ring Delay.
If you let the fax machine answer first, you will have to answer using
Tel/R
the cordless and then go to the fax machine so you can press
to transfer the call to the cordless handset.
