Setting the F/T Ring Time (FAX/TEL mode only)

If you set the Receive Mode to FAX/TEL, you'll need to decide how
long the MFC will signal you with its special pseudo/double-ring when
you have a voice call. (If it's a fax call, the MFC prints the fax.) This
ringing happens after the initial ringing from the phone company. Only
the fax machine rings (for 20, 30, 40 or 70 seconds) and no other
phones on the same line will ring with the special pseudo/double-ring.
However, you can answer the call on the same line as the MFC. (See
Operation from extension telephones on page 5-8.)

Setting the FAX/TEL Announcement

For the FAX/TEL receive mode, you can set up the MFC to play an
outgoing announcement for callers when no one is there to answer
calls. (See Record FAX/TEL Outgoing Announcement
(F/T MESSAGE) on page 9-8.)
