Control Output or Alarm Output Does Not Turn ON
Connections Process value of the E5ZN is abnormal.
Polarity of the load or connected terminals are
wired incorrectly.
Load exceeding the output ratings of the E5ZN is
connected.
Load power supply is not connected to transistor
output.
Polarity of the load power supply for transistor
output is incorrect.
Settings Operation after power ON has been stopped.
E5ZN has not started control operation.
Control point designation is incorrect.
Set point of the E5ZN is set incorrectly.
Incorrect multi-SP is designated.
The same multi-SP is selected for all channels
because event input is designated for multi-SP.
When designating multi-SP with event input, the
ON or OFF status of the input is not kept on hold.
E5ZN attempts multi-SP designation with commu-
nications when multi-SP event input designation
is selected.
Alarm mode of the E5ZN is set to 0 (no alarm
function).
Alarm mode of the E5ZN is set to alarm with
standby sequence.
Deviation value and absolute value are incorrect
for the alarm mode set.

Probable cause Remedy
Refer to 8-3 Temperature Sensing Errorsfor
appropriate troubleshooting.
Correct the wiring.
• Connect a load that does not exceed the out-
put ratings to the E5ZN.
• Request repair of the E5ZN if it is malfunction-
ing.
Provide a power supply satisfying the output rat-
ings of the E5ZN and suitable for the load.
Correct the wiring.
• Send A Control Operation run command from
the host after turning the E5ZN ON.
• Set operation after power ON to "continue."
Sent a Control Operation RUN command from the
host.
Set the correct control point numbers.
Correct the set point settings.
Set the correct multi-SP.
Specify a setting other than "event input" for multi-
SP so that different multi-SP can be designated
for each channel.
Set the E5ZN so that the ON or OFF status of the
input is kept on hold while designating the multi-
SP with the event input.
Correct the multi-SP designation method setting.
Set the correct alarm mode.
Use alarms without a standby sequence.
Set the correct alarm mode.
