B. Connect to Cable Modem (DHCP Client)
With the Auto MDI/MDIX feature, both cross and straight UTP cable can be utilized.
Step 1:Connect Cable Modem to the Modem port of the Cable/DSL Wireless Router.
Step 2:Connect the computer to the LAN port of the Cable/DSL Wireless Router. Refer to
the section on
notebook" follow by
Browser".
Step 3:Access the Router. Refer to the section on
Step 4:Under Quick Configuration, select

Step 5:Check if connection type is
WAN IP address will display under IP Address once the Internet connection is
establised.
Step 6:You can start to surf the Internet now.
You may need to restart your cable modem if you could not get a WAN IP address.
