Example 11: Viewing and adjusting an input audio level

In the following example, an audio level is viewed and adjusted. The steps show
the front panel indications that result from your action.
The output buttons display the level as shown in the table on page 3-35. Output
buttons lit green indicate gain; output buttons lit red indicate attenuation.

Pressing the Enter or Preset button also exits Audio mode. Pressing the
Preset button changes to Recall Preset mode.
When adjusted from the front panel, there is one audio level setting per input.
The audio level setting is shared by the left and right audio inputs.
Individual controls, offering finer trim adjustments (in 0.1 dB increments)
for the right and left channels and group master offsets are present in
the DSP and available through software control (see "DSP Configurator
Program", in chapter 5, "Switcher Software"). These controls are not shown
in the front panel display.
The audio level settings are stored in non-volatile memory. When power is
removed and restored, the audio level settings are retained.
Pressing the Audio button always returns the I/O buttons to Video lit green
and Audio lit red (video and audio selected for configuration).
Clear all selections: Press and release the Esc button.
Press and release the Esc button.

Select Audio mode. Press and hold the Audio button for approximately 2
seconds.
Press and hold the Audio button until it blinks.
AUDIO

Release the button.
Select an input: Press and release the input 5 button.
Press and release the Input 5 button.
The button lights green.

The output buttons display the selected input's audio level and polarity (gain or attenuation).
• Each output button indicates 1 dB when blinking slowly, 2 dB when blinking quickly, and 3 dB when lit.
When the buttons are lit or blinking green, they indicate a gain (+) audio level.
When the output buttons are lit or blinking red, they indicate an attenuation (-) level.
• In this example, the output buttons display an audio gain level of +8 dB.
