Personal Options allow you to customize your mailbox. Voice Mail has the following

personal options:

Personal Greetings
Voice Mail Directory Name
Mailbox Password
Voice Mail Message "Envelope" Contents
Call Screening Transfer Method
Each option is described in detail in the following pages.

Recording Your Personal Greetings

Your primary or alternate greeting is played to callers when they reach your mailbox.
When recording your Voice Mail greeting the following information may be helpful
for your callers:
Whether you are in the office and where you can be reached
When you will be returning calls
For callers who do not wish to leave a message, how to exit (They can press 0 to
return to the operator.)
Here are some sample greetings to help you plan your message:
Primary Greeting: Hello, this is __________. I am either on another line or
away from desk and cannot take your call at this time. If you need to speak to
someone immediately, please dial zero now. Otherwise, please leave a detailed
message and I will return your call as soon as possible. Thank you.
Alternate Greeting: Hello, this is __________. I will be away from the office
from day/date until day/date. If you need to speak to someone immediately,
please dial zero now. Otherwise, please leave a detailed message and I will return
your call when I return. Thank you.
To change your personal greeting:
— Enter your mailbox as described on
Options Menu.
