Connect the other end of the interface cable to
the PC
USB connection: Connect the A-connector end (flat end) to a USB port on your
computer.
Firewire connection: Connect the cable to a firewire port on your computer. Use the
end marked "Scanner End" if specified on your cable.

Connect the power cable to the scanner
Connect the scanner power cable to the scanner's main power connection socket. The
main power connection socket is at the scanner's backside.
