A
APN Access Point Name. The Access Point Name is used by the
terminal operator to establish the connection to the required
destination network.

BGAN Broadband Global Area Network. A satellite network based on
geostationary satellites, delivering data rates of up to 492 kbps to
virtually any part of the earth, with full UMTS (3G) compatibility.
C
CE Conformitée Européenne. This term signifies that a CE certified
product conforms to European health, environmental, and safety
regulations. In short, it makes the product legal to be sold in the
European Union.
CID Context Identifier
CM Continuous Monitoring
CS Circuit-Switched. Circuit-switched networks require dedicated
point-to-point connections during calls.

DHCP Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. A protocol for assigning
dynamic IP addresses to devices on a network. With dynamic
addressing, a device can have a different IP address every time it
connects to the network.
DNS Domain Name System. A system translating server names (URLs)
to server addresses.
