DHCP Server Configuration

A DHCP server can be configured to assign IP addresses to devices connected to the
LAN2 port. To configure these ports, choose LAN2 from the System Network
menu.

Samba / CIFS

There are 5 options is currently allow Admin to Enable/Disable to operate Thecus IP
storage associated with Samba / CIFS protocol. With the option changed, it will need
to reboot system to activate.
Description
Displays the MAC address of the LAN2 interface.
Enable or disable Jumbo Frame Support on the LAN2 interface.
Specifies the IP address of the LAN2 interface.
Specifies the Network Mask of the LAN2 interface.
When Thecus NAS as a DHCP server from LAN2, it can have
another route to balance traffic bandwidth for its DHCP
clients
Specifies the LAN2 port link status
Specifies the LAN2 port link speed
Before enabling Jumbo Frame Support, please make sure your network equipment
supports Jumbo Frame. If your equipment is incompatible, you might not be able to
connect to your Thecus IP storage.
If the IP sharing mode setting is set to "Enable" under WAN/LAN21 port, then this 2
gateway cannot be configured.
Description
Enable or disable the DHCP server to automatically assign IP
address to PCs connected to the LAN2 interface.
Specifies the starting IP address of the DHCP range.
Specifies the ending IP address of the DHCP range.
Displayed the DNS server IP address.
The IP Segment of WAN/LAN1 and LAN2 should not overlap.
The IP address of the LAN2 interface should not be in the range of the
Start IP address and End IP address.
