Understanding Your Aastra 6739i Telephone

The Aastra 6739i contains physical features and programmable softkeys that can be
customized to meet your specific telephone needs.

Description/Result
Allows you to view and manage calls on your telephone screen when the handset is lifted.
Lists the basic options you can use to customize your phone. Press the Options key and use the
Navigation softkeys to scroll through options on your phone.
Lists past callers. Can hold up to 200 entries.
Displays your personal directory of up to 200 entries added manually or saved from Callers or
other lists.
Allows you to access enhanced features. Default settings include your Callers List and Voicemail
List.
Allows you to connect a 3-way call or multiple parties. The 6739i is equipped with both a
Conference hardkey and softkey.
The 6739i is equipped with both a Transfer hardkey and softkey.
Adjusts the volume for the handset, headset, ringer, and speakerphone. For more details, see the
Adjusting the Volume section below.
Mutes the microphone so that your caller cannot hear you. Press Mute. The Status Lamp flashes
when mute is pressed.
Activates speakerphone/headset for making or receiving calls without lifting the handset.
Connects you to an incoming call or allows you to use another line to place a call. The 6739i
telephone supports up to 9 lines.
Allows you to quickly access your messages or set up voicemail.
Ends an active call and allows you to exit an open menu without saving changes. Press Goodbye to
hang up a call.
Places an active call on hold. Press the Hold key while on the call. To retrieve a held call, press the
Call Pickup softkey or the Line key next to the Status Lamp or flashing light. The Hold key or
Goodbye key will not retrieve the held call. The 6739i is equipped with both a Hold hardkey and
softkey.
