OWNER'S MANUAL
CLEARANCES TO
COMBUSTIBLES
Due
to
high
surface
temperatures, the unit should
be located out of traffic and
away from furniture
draperies. Clothing and other
flammable material should
not be placed on or near the
heater.
Always maintain
adequate clearances around
the air openings into the
combustion
chamber
allow
for
adequate
ventilation.
Minimum

clearances to combustibles

must be maintained as shown
in Figure 2.
HEARTH
REQUIREMENTS
/FLOOR
PROTECTION
The
Killington
can
installed on wood flooring or
a non-combustible surface.
For installation of the unit on
carpeting, vinyl tile, or other
combustible materials other
than wood flooring, the unit
shall be installed on
combustible hearth.
NOTE:
Some wood floor varnishes, stains, or
polyurethanes may be affected by heat.
VENTING COMPONENTS &
CONFIGURATION
The Killington cannot be vented jointly with any other
solid fuel or gas appliance. The Killington must be
vented directly to the outside of the building using a
proper termination as listed below. The venting
configuration is shown in Figures 4 & 5. If the vent-air
system is disassembled for any reason, reinstall per the
instructions provided in the Assembling The Unit section
of this manual on page 12.

Restrictor Disc

Your Killington has been supplied with a restrictor disc.
This disc will provide excellent restriction for vertical
vent runs exceeding 20 feet. If your vertical rise is less
than 20 feet, do not use the restrictor. See Figure 3.
