Phone Problems
Problem
Unable to answer a call
from a conventional
phone connected to the
videophone.
Unable to make a call from a
phone connected to the
videophone.
Solution
• Verify that the phone is functioning properly
without being connected to the videophone.
• Verify that the phone cable from the videophone to
the auxiliary phone is securely connected.
• Connect the phone directly to the port. Do not use
house wiring or external CID (Caller ID device) or an
answering machine.
• Verify that the phone is functioning properly
without being connected to the videophone.
• Verify that the phone cable from the ACN IRIS
5000 Videophone to the conventional phone is
securely connected. See Getting Started: Connecting
Conventional Phone to Your ACN IRIS 5000
Videophone
• Verify that the phone is set to Tone dialling, not
Pulse dealing.
• Connect the phone directly to port. Do not use
house wiring or external CID (Caller ID device) or
answering machine.
