Engine overheating prevention system

This model is equipped with an engine overheating pre-
vention system to prevent overheating when the engine
is idling.
When the engine has been idling for at least 3 minutes
and the coolant temperature has risen above 100 °C
(212 °F), the engine automatically shuts off to prevent
overheating.
NOTE:
The engine can be started after it shuts off.

Throttle override system (T.O.R.S.)

If the throttle bodies or throttle cable malfunctions during
operation, the T.O.R.S. will operate when the throttle
lever is released.
The T.O.R.S. is designed to interrupt the fuel injection
and keep the engine speed between 2,800 and
3,000 r/min if the throttle valves fail to return to the idle
position when the throttle lever is released.
